The Glass Window
No one sees me - writing prompt I followed with my friend Dan. Write from the POV of an object who sees you.
Here she comes again. Tick Tocking with the black boots. Say hi to the materialists and put on a fake smile. When is she going to stop faking?
Back into the black leather turning on the black screen. Blue light takes away the smile from her face. She’s ready for the daily fight.
I am here with you. You are not alone. I want to tell her everyday when she looks at me. Not at me but at the changing sky through me. Sometimes I feel like she can hear me. She might atleast feel me. Otherwise what’s stopping her from breaking down?
I see her caged everyday. She thinks she's sly but her eyes tell that she’s dreaming to fly.
I wish, I could tell her - sometimes you need to leap before you see the wings. But she looks right past through me. Sees crows, pigeons and magpies. Only to frown at chains of golden ties.
Here comes the notebook to save her from her misery.
The joy of five pm is slowly becoming history.

If you have to choose an object from your daily life to write your biography, what would you choose?
I will choose my kada/steel bangle that I have been wearing for more than ten years.
You can find my poetry books and Confidence Journal at arsheverest.com
It costs $5 a month, or $50 a year, and your support is what genuinely allows me to keep creating independent, thoughtful content.
