The choice is not mine

Arrogance took over me.
I was proud to know my soul, my purpose, my heart.
My ego grew big as a mountain - remembering the infinite power of my soul. It desired control.
My soul did not like that. She went into hiding.
My thoughts fell in old patterns. Worrying. Predicting future. Daydreaming conversations that never happened.
The peace. The joy. The stillness. Everything went POOF.
